DOKK Major Update: 1.0
πππ
Thanks for planning with us!
Hi everyone, we're excited to announce a major update to our platform.
We consider DOKK to be genuinely ready in its current state. There's a large backlog of features and improvements we're working through, but the platform now has everything needed to fully function as a proper SaaS connecting Ports and Agencies, with support for various third-party user types.
Please reach out directly at [email protected] or [email protected] if you have questions or want to report a bug. We'll respond and resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
What's New
Insights Page for Ports (beta)
Provides detailed information about a port's operations using real-time data, including graphs and charts covering arrivals, booking curves, cancellations, frequency, and more.
Only available for Port organisations for now β similar insights for other organisation types will be considered in the future.
Available for a free introductory period of 3 months from today, after which it becomes a paid subscription feature.
We'd greatly appreciate your feedback during this period. If it can be viably integrated, it goes straight onto our roadmap.

Full details on plans and pricing are available at info.dokk.com/billing/plans-and-pricing.
Billing Section under /organisation (beta)
View your estimated costs for the end of the year, all active subscriptions, and your full billing history.

Port Services (beta)
Ports now have access to a dedicated page for building a comprehensive catalogue of their services and capabilities, including service policies to support planning and coordination.
We encourage Port organisations to register their services in as much detail as possible β this sets the groundwork for our next phase: allowing agents to request port services directly when creating a booking.

Certain services like water and power connections have dedicated fields to capture the relevant technical details.
We recommend not applying any Port Service Policies yet since the functionality might change depending on how we implement the Service request and allocation system for ports and agencies.
However the functionality for the Port Service Policies is complete at the moment but will become more critical when allocating the requested services based on previous concurrent allocations.
Port Call Documents
Port calls now support document uploads, available to agencies and ports managing their bookings.

Files such as SafeSeaNet reports should be uploaded and labelled using the file type dropdown.

SafeSeaNet parsing is coming soon β this will automatically pull in real-time data from cruise ship arrivals, including passenger manifests.
Ports and Location Pages Updated
Both pages now include expanded port details with search and sorting, including a view of Port Services and their associated policies.

Main Port Call Page Updates
The calendar picker has been replaced with a more reliable and modern library.
Columns can now be shown or hidden using the Hide / View Columns button in the top left corner.

Some slight issue have also been fixed
Users can now use the standard english spelling for location searches, ie Reykjavik = ReykjavΓk.
Improved user management platform
An admin user can now properly invite automatically a user to their organization within the platform
This will incur a subscription fee

Automatic "Closed" Status for Departed Port Calls
Port calls are now automatically marked as Closed 24 hours after a cruise ship has departed. It does not affect cancelled or rejected port calls.
Calendar has been slightly updated
New searchable fields for countries and ports, similar to how agents operate their booking.
Also included is the filter for Cruise Lines that are members of DOKK to monitor specifically their vessels.
Slight UI fix
This includes updating the cards, layout and feel of the calendar.

The embed/calendar/{id} for ports and organizations has also had a slight revamp but less significantly since it's primarily used by Ports as an iframe object to display on their own homepages.
Flyout for Agents to book port calls has been fixed slightly
Agents must now select the country of the port before selecting the port it self.
The port list is updated to reflect the country selected.
Voyage IDs are now required to be set for port calls to ensure better overview of cruise voyages.
If the voyage id is unknown, then just use whatever value you feel comfortable with.
Agents are now required to also fill in details about country of origin of a port call
This will ensure that calendars can be read by customs agents and local authorities
This only applies to countries where there is a collective customs area
The software is ready to handle the following areas:
Schengen
United States CBP Zone
Canada CBSA Zone
MERCOSUR
CARICOM

Organisation Directory
A new Directory page is available in the side navigation, listing all member organisations on the platform with details about their operations and contact information.

Any organization can opt out of this feature, there is a simple toggle switch in the /organization page which enables you to hide your company in the /directory page.

Cruise Lines (beta)
Cruise Lines can now join the platform, register their vessels, and view any port calls associated with them.
Cruise Line access is intentionally limited β they cannot view any communication between Ports and Agencies, and cannot create or adjust port calls.
Coming later: a Port Call Transfer system for seamless handover of bookings, and an internal messaging system for all organisations to communicate directly within the platform.
Cruise Line access is a paid subscription and is currently in beta. Some restrictions may apply.
API Key Changes
API keys are no longer a paid standalone feature.
Any organisation that had a Media organisation set up purely for API key access will be transitioned to a Media subscription at 26,900 ISK/year.
Any actively operating organisation on the platform can now request an API key at no charge (restrictions apply based on organisation type).
Organisations that previously purchased an annual API key subscription will not be refunded, but will not be charged the Media Organisation Subscription at the start of 2027 as a token of appreciation. If they continue beyond that, billing resumes at the start of the 2028 billing run. Please contact us directly if any part of this is unclear.
Design & Performance Improvements
Updated side navigation and several other interface elements for a more cohesive look and colour palette.
The notification system now loads only the 20 most recent notifications instead of fetching the entire history.
Coming in Q2βQ4
Features already in the pipeline:
Credit card billing integration with our Icelandic payment provider, Straumur
Location (quay) shifting β port calls will support shifts between quays, with full history tracking
SafeSeaNet parsing and integration for live port call data
In-platform service requests linked to Port Service policies and scheduling
Allocating agency and vessels directly from Cruise Lines
This will ensure a smooth transition and transferring port calls directly to agencies when needed.
This feature will also include a major step in allocating correct vessels to agencies so they'll be unable to book anything beyond their allocated vessels from cruise lines.
This also includes an agencies countries of operations meaning they won't be able to book in other countries unless they specifically are allowed to.
This will however be a paid feature which is billed upon task being finished.
A redesigned calendar for both public and internal use
The current update solves some issues but we have a growing task list that we want to focus on and provide a much better experience to all users.
Cost management and price planning tools for ports, with better visibility for agencies and cruise lines
Improved internal user management for organisation admins:
Fully close a user account and remove an associated organisation subscription
Internal messaging between organisations β eliminating the need for email chains
